AM Cassandre had a huge influence over design and typography, famous for his work with Harper's Bazaar and his travel poster designs.

I wanted to capture his style in a poster that is more informative of who he was and his work, rather than a poster that advertised the kinds of things he worked on.

 

To do this, I thought it was important to reflect on certain motifs that he used frequently and call back to the traditional methods he originally used to create his posters.

 

He often used borders as a place to put important information such as travel dates, locations, etc., and is most well known for his air-brushing techniques.

These are just some of the elements I aimed to highlight using modern digital methods.
